     William Clapp was born c 1565 in Salcombe, Devon, England.3 He married Johan Channon on 11 Sep 1593 at Salcombe.3,4

Other information: He and Johan Channon lived at the time of Roger birth at Coomb Wood Farm in Salcombe. The farmhouse, a large, two-story thatch roofed cottage, is still standing. It is only a few hundred yards away from the chalk cliffs that fall 200 feet into the English Channel.3
