    Hi Afina:
I am pleased that you contacted me. I have never had a contact in the line of Elizabeth Chenoweth who married William Netherton, and as part of the thrust of what we are doing is to find living family descendants, I sure wish you could point me in the right direction. From what you are saying, you have a son or daughter-in-law who is part of this family. Elizabeth of course was a granddaughter of Arthur and Elspa Lawrence. Arthur has been misplaced in previous Chenoweth histories but is corrected at my website. This is the extent of what I have from Elizabeth:

    Hi Jon,

The line between my son-in-law's grandmother and Elisabeth Chenoweth runs as follows (I have already incorporated a bit of your data, what I had came from the DAR application of Hilda Jenkins). It is all through female lines. The numbers in parenthesis are the numbers in my database. Information is also available at my webpage (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~bruggencate/family/family-e-p/p12040.htm) although I have misspelled the name there
If you want more information, let me know.

    Afina...

Who did Betty Tiffany marry ? , who are your grand children from this. How does it work?

I had a Census mixed up do I had not look at this marriage. Even so, I would like t see if I can resolve some of the conflicts I have found. In 1870 Martin and Nancy are in Carroll Co., IN. She gives her age as 23 (=1846 or 1847) KY. In 1880 she is 33 born KY with parents KY KY, should be IN (KY KY). With her parents in 1850 and 1860 it is correctly IN. There is a tree posted at ancestry that gives these dates for Nancy (Birth: 3 Dec 1844 Death: 5 Feb 1918 ). I haven't yet found her in 1900 or 1910. I am a bit perflexed..

DO you have any other info on Nancy? Thank you for the information you sent....
That said, I will work with this some more based on what you sent me.
I should tell you that there is an error in the DAR listings. For years the Arthur who died in Bartholomew Co., IN and migrated from Kentucky was purported to he Arthur, Jr. from Maryland who did serve in the Am Rev. That Service is what is listed with the DAR. However this Arthur was in reality the son Of John Chenoweth and MAry Smith. He was born in Virginia and I have no service record for him.... There are countless DAR applications under this Arthur however....

    Hi Jon,
I'm sending you a descendancy report of William Netherton, hope that answers some of your questions.

I agree that that is a discrepancy. I also noticed now that their children were born in Maryland òexcept the last one. Maybe with all that moving, they lost track :-)

    >There is a tree posted at ancestry that gives these dates for Nancy (Birth: 3 Dec 1844 Death: 5 Feb 1918).

Did they give any source for that information? I have her birthdate listed as 3 Dec 1845. However the DAR application was difficult to interpret, Bartholomew and Pulaski County are typed above each other, and Ky is written in after it

    >I haven't yet found her in 1900 or 1910. I am a bit perflexed

I just found a Martin V. Blue in the 1900 census in Stark County. However with a different wife, but age and birthplace fits.
INDIANA > STARKE > WAYNE TWP
    Series: T623 Roll: 403 Page: 323

    BLUE          MARTIN V          60          M          W          OH          IN          STARKE          WAYNE TWP          1900

    >I should tell you that there is an error in the DAR listings. For
    >years the Arthur who died in Bartholomew Co., IN and migrated from
    >Kentucky was purported to he Arthur, Jr. from Maryland who did serve in
    >the Am Rev. That Service is what is listed with the DAR.

Hilda's DAR claim was through John Netherton (William's Grandfather), not through the Chenoweth line
