     Nicholas Clapp was born c 1570 in Sidbury, Devon, England.2 He married Elisabeth.2 He died on 14 Mar 1631 in Venn Ottery, Devon.2
     Torrey gives [?Clapp] in brackets, for Ann's surname, but I have not been able to ascertain why. If she is the ? Clapp of 1611, daughter of Nicholas Clapp, her age is wrong on the passengerlist of the 'Truelove.' The listed references from NE Register and NYG&B Record do not contain any clue.4

Name variants: Richard Clapp (in the Clapp Genealogy, but that is in error.)5
