     Moses Benedict and his wife Judith Levi sign a rental agreement on 20 May 1759 for a house in de Winckelgatzen in Heerlen from Loduwijk Wierts and his wife Jenna Fredrijxs. Witnesses: Frans Onnau and Peter Crombach7 There is a courtrecord on 18 Dec 1788 between Moijses Benedict and his wife Judit Jacobs, and Johanna Maria Wehlen, widow of Gerardus Heerings.8
     Mentioned in documents:
"A Jew named Benedict, a butcher living in Herle" was mentioned in 1741/1744 as a fence for the goods stolen by the Bokkerijdersbende, this is probably the father of Mozes. For information about the Bokkenrijders, zie Wikipedia
"Mosis as my witness , the son of Benedict, he lives in Heerlen" was listed on 22 Jun 1751 as a witness for Frans Severins, and he signed in Hebrew.
Mozes Benedict was arrested on 5 Jan 1773 in connection with the trials of the Bokkerijders, but was freed on bail on 16 Jan, and the case was dismissed on 28 Sep 1774.3,9
