     Lucas Bruijn was born in 1737 in Amsterdam.2 He married Sara Portielje, daughter of IJsbrand Portielje and Maria Meyer,2 (banns 24 Apr 1761, Amsterdam. Jan Bruijn and Mattijs Lis were witnesses, and were uncles of resp. the groom and the bride.)2 He died in Dec 1782 in Amsterdam (Gasthuismolensteeg)3, and was buried on 27 Dec 1782 in the Western Cemetery at Amsterdam.3
