     John Netherton (1) married Winifred Harding, daughter of George Hardin, on 4 Oct 1786 at Shenandoah County, Virginia.2 He (2) married Elizabeth Durrett.1

John Netherton made a will on 22 Oct 1842. It is recorded Henry County, KY, Book 8, p.224. 7 Feb 1845. 1.Names wife Betsy;
2. son Marcus B. (land in Jefferson and Shelby County, and 1 Negro boy, named Anderson, and a Negro man named Caesar);
3. son Henry (land in Jefferson County, and two Negro boys named Owen and Loyd);
4. daughter Mrs Marcain Mars (one Negro boy named Berryman and $900);
5. daughter Mrs. Margaret Sturgeon (one Negro named Amanda and her future increase, and $1000);
6. daughter Mrs. Betsy Johnson (Negro slaves: ?, Mary and Dilcy, Dilcy's children; a boy named Alfred, 1 boy named Grandison?, 1 girl ?arnsh, as well as their increase);
7. daughter Nancy Beckham, wife of William T. Beckham ($800, and slaves ?, Susan and Emily, and their increase, and a negro woman named Dilly);
8. granddaughter Mary Frances Beckham (yellow girl slave Ann Mariah), if Mary Frances dies, the girl is to go to granddaughter Winifred Beckham;
