A short biography:
MERVIN G. NOBLE grew to manhood upon the home farm, began his education in the local schools, and later attended the Damascus and Pleasant Mount Academies, after which he engaged in teaching until his marriage in 1887. He resides on the old homestead, which he operates during the summer season, his winter months being still devoted to the profession of teaching. In 1896 he was elected county auditor, and is now acceptably discharging the duties of that position.
